Come and celebrate St Patrick’s Day with us at The Feile Shanghai Family Day which will take place at the Shanghai International Fashion Centre (SIFC) on Saturday 15 March from 11am-1.30pm as part of Feile Shanghai Ireland Week 2014.
This fun family event will feature marching bands from local international schools, live performances of traditional Irish music and dance and the children of the Irish community dressed in traditional Irish dress singing Irish folk songs and dancing traditional jigs and reels. Accompanied by life-sized leprechauns, wolfhounds and shamrocks, Irish-Chinese dragons, art installations, Irish sports displays, food stalls, clowns on stilts, twisty balloons, face painting and many other activities for all the family.
Please come along and support both the GAA and the Irish Community in Shanghai! We would like as many people as possible to be there for a Gaelic Football demonstration. Please come wearing your Shanghai GAA jerseys!
Address: 2866 Yangshupu Road (cross street Neijiang Road), Yangpu District, north of the bund. There is free parking at the SIFC and a shuttle bus to/from Yangshupu Lu station, Metro Line 4.
The SIFC is a unique outlet shopping area along the Huangpu river. It has a large plaza on which a stage and tents will be positioned. It promises to be a lot of fun!
