Saturday training Feb 18th

Thanks to everyone for letting us know their preferences for Saturday’s training times. We are currently working on having a fixed training time in place for the season ahead.

This Saturday’s session is confirmed for 1pm to 3pm and the club bus will leave Camel at 12pm sharp. The bus will not hang around for stragglers and anyone who misses the bus will have to make their own way to the SRFC.

All players are encouraged to return to the Camel after training for 25RMB happy hour drinks and discounted food options.

We’re back

Training returned this week and we had great numbers down at Luwan Stadium on Tuesday night. We hope to build on this momentum with our Saturday session, which has now been confirmed for 11am to 1pm.

The team bus will leave the Camel at 10am, anyone wishing to travel on
the club bus must get there before 10am. We are going to be very
strict on the bus departure times this year, if you arrive late and
the bus has already left you will have to make your own way to the
SRFC. You have been warned!

If you wish to take the metro to the SRFC, you can do so via

Line 7: travel to Gao Ke Xi Lu, change to line 6, get off Zhou Hai Lu station, SRFC is across the road.

Line 9: travel to Century Avenue (Shi Ji Da Dao ), change to line 6,
get off Zhou Hai Lu station.

Line 1: travel to People’s Square, change to line 2, travel to Century
Avenue, change to line 6, get off Zhou Hai Lu station.

新年快乐!

The 2011 Asian Games

The 2011 Asian Games took place on the weekend of October 14th to 16th in Suwon, South Korea. Shanghai GAA brought one men’s team and one ladies team who were determined to build on the club’s success at the China Games and win more silverware. Both teams battled hard and made it to their respective finals but had to settle for runners-up medals. There is renewed determination within the club to regroup over the winter and go one better next year
